Ozil Goal AI Prompt: What to Write (and When You Do Not Need One)

Writing your own prompt for the Ozil goal AI video in a photo-to-video tool: what the prompt has to say, a template you can copy and the usual failures.

Oct 13, 2026

If you want to make the Ozil goal clip yourself in a photo-to-video or reference-video AI tool, the prompt does most of the work. A vague prompt like "make me score a football goal" gives you a random match, a random kit and usually someone who no longer looks like you. This guide covers what the prompt has to pin down, gives you one template you can copy, and lists the failures you are likely to hit and how to fix them.

If you have not seen the trend yet, start with what the Ozil goal AI trend is. The short version: an ordinary person, in ordinary clothes, pulls off a pro's solo run in a night match while everyone else is in kit. That contrast is the joke, so your prompt has to protect it.

What the prompt must pin down

Video models fill every gap you leave with their own guess. For this clip, these are the gaps that matter:

  • The setting. A night match in a stadium under floodlights, with a real grass pitch. Without it you often get daylight or a training ground.
  • The person from the photo. Keep their face, hair and outfit exactly as in the photo. Say clearly that they are not wearing a football kit. Models love to dress the player in a kit, and then the joke is gone.
  • The three beats, in order. First, the person runs onto the ball and the goalkeeper throws himself past in a full flying dive as the ball goes up. Second, the ball comes down off their chest and they keep dribbling. Third, a defender slides in, misses and ends up on the grass while they run on with the ball.
  • The camera. Realistic, broadcast-style football coverage, a camera following the ball from the side of the pitch. Not a drone shot, not a slow-motion music video.
  • The format. Vertical 9:16, about 15 seconds. Many tools cap the length lower; check what yours allows before you write the timing into the prompt.
  • What must not appear. No text, captions or scoreboards overlaid, no extra people walking into frame, no real players, no club badges or sponsor logos.

A prompt template you can copy

Use this with one clear photo of yourself (see the best photo for this clip). Replace the part in brackets with a short description of what the person is wearing in the photo.

Night football match in a large stadium under bright floodlights, realistic broadcast camera following the action from the side of the pitch, vertical 9:16, about 15 seconds. The person from the photo is the player on the ball. Keep their face, hair and body exactly as in the photo, and keep the clothing from the photo, not a football kit: [describe outfit, e.g. grey cardigan, white shirt, dark trousers]. All other players wear plain generic kits with no badges or logos. Beat 1: the person runs onto the ball, the goalkeeper throws himself past in a full flying dive and the ball goes up into the air. Beat 2: the ball comes down off the person's chest and they carry on dribbling. Beat 3: a defender slides in, misses the ball and ends up on the grass while the person runs on with the ball. Realistic motion and lighting. No text, no captions, no scoreboard, no extra people, no real players, no club badges, no sponsor logos.

If your tool has a separate negative prompt field, move the "no text, no captions..." list there and keep the main prompt focused on what should happen.

Common failures and how to fix them

  1. The face drifts. By the third beat the player looks like a stranger. This is almost always the photo, not the prompt. Use a sharp, well-lit photo of one person with the face fully visible, no sunglasses, hat or mask, and no heavy filter. A head-to-toe shot helps the model keep the body consistent too.
  2. A kit replaces the outfit. The model sees "football match" and dresses you for it. Write it out plainly: "keeps the clothing from the photo, not a football kit", and describe the outfit in a few words. Avoid photos where you wear a plain green or white top, since those read as kit colours.
  3. The beats come out of order, or one is missing. Number them ("Beat 1", "Beat 2", "Beat 3") and keep each one to a single action. If the tool still merges them, shorten the rest of the prompt so the beats take up most of it, then regenerate.
  4. Text appears on screen. Models sometimes add fake captions, scorebugs or subtitles. Put "no text, no captions, no scoreboard" in the prompt, and in the negative prompt if there is one.
  5. Real logos or famous faces show up. Mentioning a real club, stadium or player invites the model to copy their badges or faces. Do not name any of them. Ask for "plain generic kits with no badges or logos" and leave it at that. The clip only points to Ozil's famous goal; it does not need anything from it on screen.

Expect a few attempts. Each regeneration usually costs credits in these tools, so change one thing at a time and keep the version that worked best.

When you do not need a prompt

There are two routes that skip prompting altogether. The CapCut template is free: you add a photo and it fills in the rest, within the limits of the template. We compare the two in CapCut template vs an AI generator.

The other is this site. Ozil Goal AI takes one photo and makes the 15-second vertical clip with the same pitch, players, camera and cuts as the trend, with you on the ball in your own clothes and the trend's original sound. There is no prompt to write and nothing to retry by hand. It costs $8.90 for one video, and a failed render goes back to your account automatically. If you would rather skip the prompting, add your photo in the generator. The steps are in how to make the Ozil goal AI video.

Whichever route you take, only use photos of yourself or of adults who have agreed, never a footballer, celebrity or child, and label the post as AI-generated when you share it.
